Other methods for pronunciation learning are often outdated, lack accessibility, and are ultimately boring. Language learners, like us and our families, desperately need a change—and we aim to be just that. We’re an early startup founded by an all-student team focused on improving language pronunciation learning. Koel Labs was lucky enough to participate in Mozilla’s AI accelerator earlier this fall, during which we developed two open-source state-of-the-art phonemic transcription models that are still at the top of the category of models available on hugging face.
